Latest News

At our May 29th meeting, 135 members (including 10 brand new members!) of 100 Women Who Care - Elk Rapids Area gathered at HERTH to begin our fourth year of collective giving.

We heard from three members passionate about causes and organizations that improve the quality of life in Antrim County. Betsy Morath presented on behalf of Waterside 4 Wellness; Phyllis Hoogerhyde shared the work of Star Township Volunteer Fire Fighters Food Pantry; and Carol Heles introduced us to Grand Traverse Industries.

Members selected Star Township Volunteer Fire Fighters Food Pantry to receive our collective donation which will be used to fight food insecurity in, and around, Alba. Specifically, Phyllis shared that our gift will allow them to increase food availability during the summer, boost protein offerings, and purchase a refrigerator.

REPORT FROM ELK RAPIDS DISTRICT LIBRARY
Pam Williams, Director of the Elk Rapids District Library, presented on the status of the library's capital campaign. She shared the exciting news that 100 Women Who Care - Elk Rapids Area will be recognized for our $30,200 gift with a naming opportunity. This will be a lasting way to acknowledge our support of the library and its mission.

HARBOR DAYS - July 31 - August 2
